The kit is prepared for the animal in your order and includes the required sampling materials and a unique sample ID.
§ 01 — SAMPLING OVERVIEW
Clear instructions arrive with your sample kit.
After ordering, you receive the required sampling materials together with clear instructions for sample collection, handling and return. The public overview is intentionally concise; the complete protocol is available to signed-in customers and accompanies the prepared kit.

Collect the sample
You receive clear instructions for safe sample collection, identification and handling. A veterinarian can collect the sample when appropriate.

Return it for analysis
Follow the supplied packing and return instructions. The laboratory registers receipt against the sample ID linked to your animal.
- Sampling methods are selected for the reptile and test. Your kit includes the appropriate materials and instructions.
- The owner or a veterinarian collects the sample using the supplied kit.
- Each sample carries a unique Sample ID linked to one animal.
- Follow the instructions supplied with the kit and by e-mail after ordering.
- Samples from different animals are never pooled.
Safety first
Venomous, aggressive, weak or clinically affected animals must be sampled by a veterinarian. Do not collect the sample yourself if the animal cannot be handled safely or has significant oral lesions.
